Station 81
The original firehouse in Middletown was located on North Broad Street, Constructed in the Mid-1800s, this building also served as the City Hall, courthouse, police station and jail. At the time it was constructed, men pulled hose wagons and hand pumps to the fire. This was later replaced by horse drawn equipment as the steam pumper replaced old hand pumping devices. This station served the City of Middletown well into the Mid-1950s when it was replaced by the current Station 81, 307 North Broad Street.
Station 81 houses Medic 81, Engine 81 and the Hazardous Material Response vehicles (Hazmat 80 and 81) are also kept here.
Medic 81 is staffed with 2 paramedics and Engine 81 is staffed with 3 personnel.
