In October 2024, the Atrium Family YMCA and the City of Middletown broke ground on the new Monsoon Bay Aquatic Center. The new center will include water features for people of all ages, while also emphasizing water safety and fun.
The project is funded through the City of Middletown's American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. Monsoon Bay will include 30-foot water slides, a new outdoor bathhouse, and a state-of-the-art pool.
LATEST UPDATE (5/28/2025): Work continues on Monsoon Bay and is expected to be completed in late summer 2025.
