The City is planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the weeks following the inauguration at one of the sign locations. In addition to the signs, the City of Middletown recognized Vice President-elect Vance with a feature story in the Winter 2025 Middletown NOW Newsletter.

He was elected as a United States Senator in 2022 and selected as President-elect Donald Trump’s running mate in summer 2024. On Nov. 5, 2024, then-Sen.
