MIDDLETOWN, OHIO -- (Sept. 2, 2023) -- In a display of community love and appreciation, more than 50 family members, friends, and neighbors gathered to celebrate Tracy Isaacs' 104th birthday, including visits from Vice Mayor Monica Nenni and Middletown Division of Police Chief Dave Birk.
The celebratory event commenced with a caravan of jeeps, adorned with fluttering American flags, parading along the street in front of Isaacs' house. The sight of these vehicles, accompanied by a Middletown fire truck and police cars, added an element of grandeur and patriotism to the festivities. Isaacs is a World War II veteran. Vice Mayor Nenni declared September 2, 2023, as "Tracy Isaacs Day" and presented Isaacs with a proclamation, from which she read heartfelt words of appreciation for his remarkable journey. As a testament to the adoration and respect Isaac garnered throughout his years, he received numerous tokens of love and support from those present. The Middletown Division of Police's David Birk presented him with a police baseball cap. As the familiar strains of the happy birthday song filled the air, Isaacs loved ones serenaded him with a chorus that resonated with love and appreciation. In a poignant gesture, Isaacs called forward his granddaughter, Ashley, who shares his birthdate, further emphasizing the significance of this joyous day for generations to come.
